Plastic Injection Molding

At Agilian, we have been assembling electro-mechanical products – mostly portable electronics – since 2018. Most of our customers’ products include a plastic enclosure, and some also need various custom-designed internal parts made from plastic or silicone, so we decided to take more control over that manufacturing.

We provide injection molding for mass-producing plastic parts.

We formed Agilian’s sister company, named Agilian Plastic & Molds (AgP&M), to handle tooling fabrication and plastic injection molding parts in China, and we located it just behind Agilian’s main facility in its own building. It also includes silicone compression molding capabilities, too.

What we offer at our tooling and plastic injection molding facility

(AgP&M) is divided into three areas:
1
Office

Design Office

This is where we do a DFM review on the design of your parts and we suggest changes as needed, and where we design the tooling. (Note, Agilian’s in-house purchasing team takes care of buying the blocks of steel.)

2
Tooling-shop

Tooling shop

This is where we machine the blocks of metal into the finished molds. Includes CNC and traditional milling, EDM cutting, grinders, and other equipment. We have a particular expertise in highly engineered molds.

3
Plastic Injection shop

Plastic Injection shop

Seven new plastic injection presses (from 90 to 260 tons) with automated unloading arms, third-generation digital controls, and various ways of ensuring polymer dryness. Operating under proven quality systems.

Long production lead times and inconsistent quality in China aren’t inevitable. They simply result from a lack of production planning and process controls.

Our engineers and technicians do various operations, including CNC and traditional milling, EDM cutting, grinders, etc. We have a particular expertise in highly engineered molds that involves various technologies, such as:

We also provide mold refurbishment as a service.

Note: All tooling fabricated is intended for local injection in China and may not be a good fit for some other countries’ standards.

Silicone Compression Molding

Note: we also do silicone compression molding.

Our in-house silicone production facilities also allow us to manufacture various silicone products, such as buttons, feet, o-rings, keypads, and various other custom parts. The process is beneficial because it produces high-quality, durable parts with complex geometries and excellent material properties, such as heat resistance, flexibility, and chemical stability.

Die Casting

Agilian makes aluminum and zinc parts. More specifically, we design and fabricate your die casting molds in-house, and then we manage production in a casting factory nearby. We then do machining as needed to finish your metal parts. That’s how we keep quality under control.

The molds are typically made from DIN 2344 die steel which is required to withstand the high temperatures, pressure, and shocks, for many thousands of uses.

Fast Iterative Tooling

Fast Iterative Tooling (FIT) streamlines the transition from CAD and 3D-printed samples to production-grade tooling, ideal for simple molds and low-requirement parts.

In sensitive cases, DFM-stage risk analysis may not prevent mold revisions later. FIT reduces this risk by producing parts in the actual production polymer using a similar molding process, ensuring more reliable design validation.
