Talk To Us About Your Tooling And/Or Plastic Injection Molded Parts Project
At Agilian, we have been assembling electro-mechanical products – mostly portable electronics – since 2018. Most of our customers’ products include a plastic enclosure, and some also need various custom-designed internal parts made from plastic or silicone, so we decided to take more control over that manufacturing.
We provide both tooling design and fabrication, and injection molding for mass-producing plastic parts.
We formed Agilian’s sister company, named Agilian Plastic & Molds (AgP&M), to handle tooling fabrication and plastic injection molding parts in China, and we located it just behind Agilian’s main facility in its own building. It also includes silicone compression molding capabilities, too.
What we offer at our tooling and plastic injection molding facility
(AgP&M) is divided into three areas:
1
Design Office
This is where we do a DFM review on the design of your parts and we suggest changes as needed, and where we design the tooling. (Note, Agilian’s in-house purchasing team takes care of buying the blocks of steel.)
2
Tooling shop
This is where we machine the blocks of metal into the finished molds. Includes CNC and traditional milling, EDM cutting, grinders, and other equipment. We have a particular expertise in highly engineered molds that involves various side actions, hot runners, in-mold cutting, etc. and we can provide mold refurbishment as a service. All tooling fabricated is intended for local injection in China only.
3
Plastic Injection shop
Plastic injection presses (starting with small and midsize parts: from 90 to 260 tons) with automated unloading arms, and quality control.
Long production lead times and inconsistent quality in China aren’t inevitable. They simply result from a lack of production planning and process controls.

Key benefits for you
The main purpose is to control the process tightly and reduce risks, in many ways. Here are three of the main benefits for our customers that we work for on tooling and plastic injection molding parts in China:
- Avoid relying on external suppliers that design & fabricate the plastic injection molds (which can be “lost”, or made in an inferior metal). There is always a small chance an external party makes similar-looking products that will compete with our customers.
- Control the exact type of polymer used. When a Chinese plastic supplier says “this is ABS”, for instance, they usually pick a cheap brand of ABS and they don’t share those details. But different grades of a given plastic material come with very different levels of performance (physical strength but also flammability, UV resistance, etc.) for the finished product. Picking the right brand and sticking to it is quite important.
- Building deep knowledge about plastic polymers, the injection process, and the testing processes (in our testing lab), allows us to detect and manage risks better. It also helps in providing better design tips to our customers.
The Team
AgP&M’s team includes a manager who comes with 20 years of experience in plastic production, and also:
- Tooling designers
- CNC programmer and CNC technician
- EDM technician, polishing technician, mold-making technicians
- Injection shop supervisor and operators
- Quality control supervisor and technicians

Silicone Compression Molding
Note: we also do silicone compression molding.
Our in-house silicone production facilities also allow us to manufacture various silicone products, such as buttons, feet, o-rings, keypads, and various other custom parts. The process is beneficial because it produces high-quality, durable parts with complex geometries and excellent material properties, such as heat resistance, flexibility, and chemical stability.

Die Casting
Agilian makes aluminum and zinc parts. More specifically, we design and fabricate your die casting molds in-house, and then we manage production in a casting factory nearby. We then do machining as needed to finish your metal parts. That’s how we keep quality under control.
The molds are typically made from DIN 2344 die steel which is required to withstand the high temperatures, pressure, and shocks, for many thousands of uses.
