When choosing to work with Agilian customers commonly wonder how our pricing works. This page outlines the structure so you understand what we charge for and what goes into our pricing. For a precise quotation, please contact us. (We will need specific information about your product.)

Our pricing is based on these factors:

If sourcing, R&D, or process engineering work is needed to finish the development of your project: we charge per hour of work.

If sourcing, R&D, or process engineering work is needed to finish the development of your project: we charge per hour of work.

We buy the components and we charge a % of their value, to reflect the work and the risk (including quality issues) involved.

Inspection work (incoming QC, outgoing QC…) is charged by the hour. Detailed results are communicated to you.

An initial setup (pilot run, etc.) is required for each new product, and we charge a fee for that. It is in your interest to secure quality & speed.

We also charge a small fixed setup fee for each batch, to reflect our cost structure. This is why we welcome small batches, and we have no MOQ.

The production operators' work is charged based on the number of seconds of work per piece. If your product takes less time to make, you pay less.

What this means for you, as the buyer:

You pay for and own ALL (both hard and soft) that is needed to move production wherever you want: the tooling, the bill of materials (i.e. the list of parts & suppliers), engineering deliverables (e.g. drawings, schematics, testing plan...), etc.

You have visibility over the situation. If there are quality issues, or delays, you can go on-site (at Agilian, or at the component supplier's facility) yourself if you want. And our staff will help you know what happens and fix the issue.

Our incentives are aligned. If you redesign your product, or an assembly fixture in a way that makes our work faster, you will directly benefit from the cost savings.
If we do a bad job, you can leave easily (no lock in).

We have developed and follow a state-of-the-art New Product Introduction process. If you let us handle the development and pre-production stages as we suggest, it translates into lower risks and much fewer bad surprises.

We don't test how big your wallet is (we always use the same calculations) or try to inflate our margin over time. In many cases, we are cheaper than Chinese OEM suppliers in the mid-to-long run. Not to mention, our quality is better.
